Aimed at classical musicians at conservatory level to learn how to create music on the spot in a playful way, working on the necessary skills through Improv theatre games.
Each improv exercise focuses on a specific aspect (i.e. active listening, spontaneity, accepting mistakes positively, taking and using each others’ input…), and it is then translated into a musical improv game, allowing for transferability of skills. This course provides a learning laboratory in which listening, playfulness, and self, and mutual confidence are the main goals.
